AnyDAC 2.0 Overview
AnyDAC is a set of data components for Delphi and Free Pascal that enables direct native high-speed access to a variety of standard database systems.
Whether working with Data Abstract or building single/two-tier applications with direct database access, AnyDAC provides optimized access to your back-end data that uses the native interfaces provided by the various database engines for best possible performance.

Supported Databases
The following database types are supported natively:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and higher
- Oracle 8.0.3 and higher
- IBM DB2 8 and higher
- MySQL 3.23 and higher
- Microsoft Access 2000 and higher
- Sybase ASA 8 and higher
- InterBase 6 and higher
- Firebird 1.5 and higher
"Natively" means that AnyDAC communicates with the back-end database through the fastest, stable and vendor-recommended API available. AnyDAC has been tested and optimized for each of these RDBMS's.
AnyDAC also supports generic data sources through:
- Borland/CodeGear DBX
- ODBC
